The Guidance and Counseling Department at Gonzalez

Elementary developed a comprehensive, developmental guidance and school counseling program to ensure that all students benefit from a high quality school counseling curriculum.  This program was created as a guide for school counselors, teachers, administration, parents, and students to provide the necessary services for the students in the elementary, middle school, and high school.  The goal of our counselors at Gonzalez Elementary is to assist in the success of all students. 

 

 

Our job as school counselors is to provide students social/ emotional, academic and career readiness and support so they will be the best learners they can be.   We promote a college-going culture at Gonzalez Elementary. Every 1st Thursday of each month is College Awareness Day.  We encourage our students, faculty & staff to dress in their favorite College/University t-shirt.
