 Students at Mariano Gonzalez Sr. Elementary School feel supported and valued by their teachers.  Students know they are capable of being successful           academically and socially. Students are able to articulate what they are learning and why they are learning specific content. Students also demonstrate a strong sense of community within the classrooms and throughout the school. This strong sense of  community is observed in the student-to-student interactions as well as in the students’ relationships with teachers. In their Symposium session, Gonzalez leaders will explain what they did to nurture such a positive, transformational culture. In particular, they will emphasize how they supported and influenced the relationships teachers have with students and their families and the positive relationships students maintain with each other.

 We want to send out a big thank you to all our community members, our parents, our students, and our faculty and staff at Gonzalez Elementary, as the school was designed by the National Center of Urban School Transformation (NCUST) as one of the best urban school in the nation. At the 2020 American's Best Urban Schools Awards Ceremony on October 13, 2020, Mariano Gonzalez Elementary was awarded a nationally recognized Silver Award by NCUST. Gonzalez Elementary is 1 of only 16 schools out of over 30,000 schools in the nation that was recognized for their high levels of student achievement. Congratulations, Gonzalez Family!

 

Queremos enviar un gran agradecimiento a todos los miembros de nuestra comunidad, nuestros padres, nuestros estudiantes, nuestra facultad y personal de la Primaria Gonzalez, ya que la escuela fue designada por el Centro Nacional de Transformación Escolar Urbana (NCUST) como una de las mejores escuelas urbanas de la nación. En la ceremonia de entrega de premios a las mejores escuelas de los Estados Unidos de 2020 el 13 de octubre de 2020, la escuela primaria Mariano Gonzalez recibió un premio de plata reconocido a nivel nacional por NCUST. La primaria Gonzalez es una de solo 16 escuelas de más de 30,000 escuelas en la nación que fue reconocida por sus altos niveles de rendimiento estudiantil. Felicitaciones, Familia Gonzalez!
